After reading
through the first three sections you might dread the length of this
one because my passion for ministry is immeasurable. It excites
me, and I feel that it is a very intricate responsibility that demands
concentration of everything you do and say at all times. With that
said I will surprise you. I feel that ministry has a basic foundation.
With that foundation laid and followed the remaining issues all
follow suit.
The core is to maintain an authentic, transparent relationship with God. I believe there are simple parts to maintaining this. First, read
and study God's Word continually. Second, believe every word of
it with all of your heart and mind, believe it in your attitude,
in your speech, in your daily life, in everything you do may your
firm belief be evident. Third, reach out to others by loving and
caring for them where they are. Last, share with them the reason
that you love and care for them. If they are non-Christians they
will be curious why you are different from others and will want
to know the reason anyway. If they are a Christian the encouragement
and example of a loving Christian will stir their spirit with in
and promote growth. In either case, take them to God's Word and
let them know that this is where it all began. Through this they
may learn about Jesus and begin a relationship, or be encouraged
to continue the growth of an existing relationship.
